The All Aboard Skate Jam and Fundraiser will take place on August 26th in 2026, and SkatePro Giveback has backed the event with a donation of merchandise and gear.
The event is hosted by Zero Ceiling, a non-profit operating out of Whistler, British Columbia. The organization focuses on helping young people transition into adulthood by providing housing, employment, education, and community-based programs.
SkatePro Giveback is our commitment to donating a portion of our revenue to initiatives that support communities and marginalized youth through action sports. All Aboard Skate Jam perfectly represents this ambition, and we’re proud to contribute prizes to support their fundraising efforts.

The All Aboard Skate Jam is an all-ages, all-abilities event designed to bring the community together through skateboarding in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Located on the shared, unceded territory of the Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh and Líl̓wat Nations, the event will open with a traditional land acknowledgement.
Whistler Skatepark is a unique place that holds a lot of value to the local youth. One of Zero Ceiling's program graduates and current staff member sums it up perfectly:
"Being a skateboarder in Whistler is freeing. The park is big, the surrounding mountains are huge, the sunsets are alive and the community brings a welcoming vibe. Endless summer nights with our skate park lights."
Real Pathways Towards Stability

We reached out to Laura Rudderforth, Operations Facilitator at Zero Ceiling, to get a few words about All Aboard Skate Jam and Zero Ceiling.
What does an event like this mean for the young members of Zero Ceiling?
“Many of the youth we work with have experienced homelessness, housing insecurity, or significant instability in their lives, so having a positive space where they can build confidence, express themselves, and be part of a community is incredibly meaningful. The Skate Jam plays an important role in that by creating an environment where young people aren’t defined by their past or circumstances, but by their place within the skate community.”
Are your participants engaged in the planning and execution of the Skate Jam?
“Yes - this is a huge part of what makes the event special. Our youth and program graduates help shape the Skate Jam from planning and promotion through to running the event on the day. Being part of the process creates real ownership, purpose, and belonging because it’s something they help build alongside the community. Skateboarding naturally brings people together, with a strong culture of supporting each other’s progression.”
Whistler Skate Park looks like the kind of skate park many of us wish we had near our house when we were kids. How would you describe the skate scene in Whistler?
"What makes Whistler unique is that world-class athletes and everyday community skaters all share the same space. A lot of the younger skaters in Whistler are the next generation of mountain athletes, raised by parents who competed at the highest levels of snowboarding or skiing. Overall, Whistler has an incredibly welcoming and supportive skate community. The skate park itself is world-class, but what really stands out is how inclusive the scene is - you’ll see all ages and skill levels sharing the space, encouraging each other, and building community through skating."
What is the one thing people should know about Zero Ceiling and the impact of your fundraiser?
“The most important thing people should know is that Zero Ceiling is about creating real pathways out of homelessness and instability for young people - and skateboarding is one of the tools that helps us do that. Fundraisers like the Skate Jam directly translate into stable housing supports, employment opportunities, and programs where young people can connect, belong, and start building a future they can believe in.”
